Social Groups

We call our Social Groups – VIP Groups (Visually Impaired People).

The aim of the VIP groups is to provide social and recreational opportunities for Registered Blind people in Pembrokeshire.
There are several groups across the county organised and facilitated by three dedicated project workers, Rebecca, Noelle and Steph.
During the winter months groups meet at various venues, activities may include:
  • Speakers
  • Performers
  • Equipment demonstrations
  • Gentle exercise
  • Quizzes and games
During the summer months we enjoy:
  • Guided walks with the National Parks
  • Visiting local places of interest
  • Visits to local garden centres and tea rooms
  • Galleries and craft centres
There are two groups for the more active members.
Activities include such things as:
  • Horse riding
  • Rock climbing
  • Aerobics
  • 4×4 driving
  • Walking

V.I.P Groups and Venue Addresses.

During the summer we aim to have meetings and activities outside at various venues across Pembrokeshire.

  • Milford Haven V.I.P Group
    Meets 3rd Thursday of very other month. 11am -12.30pm . The Pill Centre, Milford Haven
  • Tenby V.I.P Group
    Meets 2nd Thursday of every other month. 11am – 12.30pm. New Hedges Village Hall.
  • St Davids V.I.P Group
    • Meets 1st Thursday of every other month.
  • Pembroke V.I.P Group
    Meets 2nd Thursday of every other month. 12.30pm – 2pm. Lamphey Village Hall.
  • Crymych & Narberth V.I.P Group
    1st Thursday of every other month. Roaming locations.
  • Haverfordwest V.I.P Group
    3rd Thursday of every other month. Roaming locations.
  • Young Mens  V.I.P Group – 4th Thursday of every other month. Roaming Locations.
  • Young Ladies V.I.P Group – 4th Thursday of every other month. Roaming locations.
