UCAN GO Project at Torch Theatre

Start:
January 1, 1970 12:00 am

We are currently looking for VI VIPs (Very Important Visually Impaired People) to be a part of the project and contribute ideas and honest feedback at our upcoming user testing workshop at the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven.  Owen Williams, Director of Vision in Wales (Wales Council for the Blind) suggested that you, or people you know or work with, might be interested in taking part.

UCAN GO is a user led project, funded by the Research and Development Fund for the Arts in Wales.  We are developing an app, which will act as a low vision aid, assisting visually impaired people to navigate and gain confidence when visiting arts venues.  Myself and my colleague Mared are long time members of UCAN and we’re both registered blind.  As Project Assistants, we are leading on the research and collaborative development of the app.  We have partnered with The Torch Theatre, Milford Haven and The Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff to pilot this project.

We’ll be visiting The Torch Theatre in Milford Haven on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th of June to test some of the app’s main features.

If you are interested in getting involved with the project please respond to this email or contact Louise on louise@ucanproductions.org

You could also give us a ring at the office – 02920 870554
