Technology isn’t just about gadgets, it’s about making life easier. We’re inviting you to join us at a local technology taster session where we’ll show you what products are available and how you can get the most out of them

Making sense of mobile phones  There are so many mobile phones out there; it can be difficult to know which one to choose. This session will talk you through the range of mobile phones that are currently available on the high street, including iPhone, BlackBerry and Android smart phones.

Getting online with computers and tablets  There are lots of great reasons to get online, but using the internet for the first time can be daunting. This session will show you how to get on the internet using a computer or tablet and what you can do once you’re online.

Options for reading with eBooks and download audio books  Using eBooks or downloading audio books can help you to continue reading. This session will give you an introduction to eBooks, a demonstration of the latest players and information about how you can download audio books.

One to one surgeries will also run throughout the day, so bring along your own technology and get some support.

The event will run from 9.30am to 4pm with refreshments and lunch provided.
