Coastal Path walk for BBC documentary

VIP group member at start of caostal path walk

On July 29th a number of VIP group members and members of the Sensory Service Reablement team met together for a bracing coastal path walk from Haroldston Chins to Broadhaven. The event was organised in conjunction with Pembrokeshire National Park Ranger Ian Meophem and BBC Wales who are making a documentary about the accessibility of the  Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. The documentary has been following John Lloyd and his new guide dog Jackson. Joining us on the walk were a total of 6 guide dogs!

It was a fabulous morning with Coastal Park Ranger Ian who stopped and described many features along the coastal path. There were birds to hear and hedgrow plants to smell and taste. Finally we arrived at Broadhaven beach with the sun on our face and the wind in our hair.

The documentary is due to air sometime later this year in November.
